The Spring Keeper
Game Description:
In this game the player step on the shoes of a Spring Keeper who is on the brink of retirement. The old man passes on his knowledge to the new Spring Keeper. Some times new beginnings are possible because of ends.
The player will find the hability to be some kinda of manager of spring. It is needed to spread seeds around the world. It is needed to keep the temperature right. The player will plant and pick flowers. Polen is the magic currency of it all, but there is also the need to pay attention to the energy level.
Development Description:
The game was developed using Godot and the language GDScript. All the assets you see in the game were made by me using aseprite. The music was made by using free vst plugins and also a free music production software (waveform 13). All the other sound effects were made using SFXR.
Note to the players:
There are some known issues about the game. But if you find some of yourself please leave a comment. All feedback is welcome.
One of the main problems is that the timer of the seeds maker only works on the main game scene. To be lesse anoying but to show the idea beind it I only set it to 3 seconds. Drop the flowers there and wait 3 second it will happear a label saying "Done" and you can pick the seeds.
What is missing:
More sound effects.
Warnings of the temperature. It is visible only on the top board.
Warnings when polen or energy are not enough.
Game Guide:
wasd -> player movement
e -> to interact with objects
enter -> sometimes it is needed to press it to continue
left mouse button -> to click on buttons
If you make quests you will get score.
